School Librarian jobs In Dubai, We are currently seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic individual to join our educational institution as a School Librarian. As a School Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our school library, fostering a love for reading and research among students, and supporting their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an engaging library environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
• Organize and classify library materials using an appropriate cataloging system.
• Assist students and teachers in locating and selecting relevant resources.
• Provide guidance and support to students in conducting research and utilizing library resources effectively.
• Teach information literacy skills and encourage critical thinking in the use of information.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources and services into the curriculum.
• Plan and implement library programs and activities to promote reading, literacy, and cultural awareness.
• Stay updated with current educational trends and select relevant resources accordingly.
• Manage library budget, including acquiring new materials and resources.
• Supervise library assistants or volunteers, if applicable.
• Maintain accurate records of library usage, circulation, and inventory.
• Ensure the library space is well-maintained, clean, and organized.
• Promote a positive and inclusive library atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience working as a Librarian in an educational setting, preferably in a school.
• Knowledge of library management systems and cataloging standards.
• Familiarity with information literacy concepts and research methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Passion for promoting reading and fostering a love for learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications and technology.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
